MacLennan-LSE has been in the basement waterproofing industry for over 30 years and also carries out damp proofing, timber treatment and structural repairs.
The waterproofing department has experience gained by designing and carrying out some of the most technically challenging waterproofing contracts on new build and conversions as well as flooding basements in the UK, and knowledge based on in house research and development and training has given them unparalleled skills, making them experts in designing, installing and guaranteeing basement waterproofing systems.
We carry out design and installation for Architects, Engineers, Main Contractors, Developers and domestic clients. We carry out investigations of failures for insurance companies, private clients, waterproofing material manufacturers and contractors.
Projects range from massive commercial basements / car parks several stories below ground to a small cellar conversion. We take the risk out of basement waterproofing. And as a sign of true confidence, we accept full design liability for every installation designed to our specification and installed by our fully trained staff.

The Damp and timber department has 30 years experience of working on historic buildings providing sympathetic solutions to damp problems, timber infestation and decay and often flooding issues. We are often called upon as consultants to advise householders, surveyors, building contractors and conservation officers.
Our surveyors and staff are fully qualified in their profession or they are chartered surveyors. They have all passed examinations at the British School of Waterproofing for the design and installation of underground waterproofing system. All specifications used are drawn up to BS8102 requirements. Our staff also undergoes regular training courses for the services provided.
The company has accreditation for Health and Safety and is CHAS and Safe Contractor approved. The managing Director is IOSH (Institute of Safety & Health) and believes health and safety is lead by management but achieved by a good company ethos.
